International Forum on Spice Route 2021

The 3rd INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON SPICE ROUTE (IFSR)

20-23 September 2021

Negeri Rempah Foundation in association with Maritim Muda Nusantara, Rumah Produktif Indonesia, Ethnobiological Society of Indonesia, Negeri Rempah Community Network, and with the support of national and international institutions, welcome participants from many parts of Indonesia and the world to take part in sharing ideas, knowledge and experience with each other through an online platform. 

This annual community-based forum is held independently, with the spirit of collaboration and "gotong-royong" which puts forward the principle of volunteerism to foster learning traditions in Indonesian society.

IFSR 2021 will feature multidisciplinary speakers who will share their knowledge and experience that broadens the opportunities for cross-border and cross-cultural dialogue in revisiting the traces of intercultural exchanges in the Spice Route as the busiest maritime trade route throughout history.

Thank you to all contributing speakers, communities and organizations for the enthusiasm in supporting this program. IFSR is a contribution from the people to support Indonesia's endeavour to nominate the Spice Route as world heritage.
