About the Event
As a commodity, spice plays a unique role. Spice exceeds its natural function, affecting the patterns of lifes and knowledge of people across cultures and nations. This is where knowledge of river and sea shipping takes on its role in circulating these products into economic commodities that encourage trade. Not only that, overland routes that have already been formed contribute directly to forming a very wide cross-regional exchange network, where spice producers and users have never met face-to-face because they live in far apart places.Contributing Speakers:• Prof. Daniel Rosyid, Ph.D. (Indonesia) Rosyid College of Arts & Maritime Studies• Prof. Sarah Ward, Ph.D. (Australia) Dalian Maritime University, China• Horst Liebner, Ph.D. (Germany) Independent Researcher• Samodra, Ph.D. (Indonesia) Rosyid College of Arts & Maritime StudiesModerator: Kaisar Akhir, MT.
